Mrs G. Blackburn Teacher

My name is Mrs Blackburn. I teach Year 4 and I absolutely love it! My class is called Dosbarth Annibynnol which means ‘Independent’. I have high standards and strive to help children become independent learners and try my very best to make learning fun. I am well known for my many sayings. My favourite is ‘Don’t be a sheep, be a goat’- which reminds us to think for ourselves and have confidence in what we believe. I have worked in Ysgol Frongoch for 20 years and I can’t believe how every school year is different. I look after Expressive Arts, Humanities and Health and Wellbeing within the school. I run our school’s ‘Money Tree’ which has future entrepreneurs for members. I live on a small holding with my fab family. My husband and my two lively kids, who keep me on my toes! We have a Jack Russel called Molly, some pet sheep, pygmy goats, chickens and some geese. I love anything creative and crafty. I especially like making handmade gifts or being asked to write special poems for people. I adore everything about nature and enjoy going for walks and cycles. I swim and have started Yoga which is great. Life can be very busy so I try to visit Anglesey for relaxing and fun weekends as much as I can.
